Build real AI skills,
one steady step at a time.
Mentari Labs offers structured online courses in Python, machine learning, and deep learning — designed for working adults in Malaysia who want to grow at a manageable pace.
Three paths through the data landscape
Each track is paced so that steady progress feels natural rather than rushed. Pick where you are today and move forward from there.

Designed for how adults actually learn
Paced to hold steady
Each syllabus is divided into tide-sized steps so that a full-time job and family commitments fit around your studies without friction.
Mentor clinics, not lectures
Weekly live sessions with instructors mean you get answers to your specific questions rather than one-size-fits-all explanations.
Portfolio-first approach
Every track ends with a tangible project you can show to employers — not just a certificate, but evidence of what you can actually build.
Small cohorts, close feedback
Groups are kept small so instructors can give meaningful, personal feedback on your code and projects rather than generic comments.
Malaysia-relevant context
Examples draw on local industry cases — from e-commerce logistics to fintech — so what you learn connects directly to the job market here.
Access that stays with you
Recordings and course materials remain available after your cohort ends, so you can revisit concepts as your work evolves.

Things people often ask
Do I need a programming background to start the Starter course?
No prior coding experience is required. The AI & Python Starter is designed from the ground up for people who are new to programming. The pace in the first two weeks is deliberately slow to make sure everyone is comfortable before moving forward.
How many hours a week should I set aside?
Most learners spend between eight and twelve hours per week on lessons, exercises, and the live mentor clinic. The syllabus is structured so that this fits around a full working week, but it does require a consistent commitment.
Are the sessions live or recorded?
Lessons are pre-recorded so you can watch at a time that suits you. The mentor clinic each week is live, and recordings of those sessions are shared afterwards. In the Applied ML and Deep Learning tracks a peer support channel is also active throughout the cohort.
What happens if I fall behind in a cohort?
If you find a particular week difficult, you can flag it at the mentor clinic and we will spend extra time on that topic. All recordings remain accessible so nothing is lost if life gets in the way one week. If you need more significant support, reach out to our team directly.
Is there a certificate at the end?
Yes. Upon completing the coursework and your portfolio project, you receive a Mentari Labs completion certificate. The portfolio project is what employers tend to pay more attention to, and our instructors make sure it reflects your genuine work.
What are the payment options?
We accept full payment via bank transfer or online payment. Instalment arrangements may be available for the Applied ML and Deep Learning tracks — contact us directly to discuss what works for your situation.
